Webinar Video Recording Available – Get Involved!
The workshops are recently completed with a series of webinars operated across the past number of weeks. We have uploaded the content of one of the webinars here for people to view and learn more about what’s involved in surveying, what is required during national surveys and how and when to look for hen harriers during the breeding season.
We have allocated a large proportion of the squares across the hen harrier range but there remain a variety of gaps which need volunteers to help cover the areas of suitable hen harrier habitat. If you are available in any of these regions: Inishowen, south Donegal and the Bluestack Mountains, Sligo, Lough Allen, Lough Melvin, Ballinamore, Belturbet, Frenchpark, Ennis, Athlone, Roscommon, Ballinasloe, Mount Bellew, Dundalk, Carlingford, Louth and Dublin Mountains, Wicklow Mountains, Waterford, Cashel, Kilkenny, Skibberren, Bantry, Sneem, or around Tipperary, Carrick-on-Suir, Cahir / Clonmel and the Comeragh Mountains get in touch and help us cover the hen harrier breeding areas for this important survey during 2022.
